Screengrab from homepage (beta) — demonstrating distribution

As development on an automated PR system moves to the center of Al Bawaba’s monetization plans, COVID-19 has had a positive impact on moving the dev cycle along quickly. A dedicated CMS dashboard has now been added to the front-end filmed a couple of weeks ago below (the front-end is looking a lot sharper right now).

A very early look (pre-BETA)

What began as a simple but elegant proposal in April is forming into a fully functioning Middle East Press Wire. Once on-boarded an existing client basis of Al Bawaba Business customers will be provided with a series of credits, and a dedicated CMS to track, publish and in the future — pay — for a press release.

Leveraging the distribution potential of our syndication platform and of course the editorial and PR experience of the editorial team in Amman, this is one of those products that is quickly taking on a life of its own.

At the moment a marketing and soft-launch plan is being devised, combining digital and offline sales / customer relations. At the same time, we’re looking at the policies and editorial workflow that is required to accommodate a system like this, once client requests begin to scale.

Perhaps most exciting is not the tech or potential revenue, but watching a large digital platform in the Middle East launch first-foot forwards toward a digital monetization business solution.
